The Kelowna Disc Dog Challenge weekend Sept 9-10, 2023 has come and gone, and it was a fabulous weekend for dog lovers and families it was.
Those who participated were very grateful for the opportunity to gather on our North Westside and present their dog's amazing speed and accuracies.
Those who came and spectated the event saw some amazing dog athletes.
BELLA ran 58 yards and picked her disc from out of thin air...POPTART ran circles under the discs to orient and capture it in her mouth. OLIVE was best overall scorer on Day 1...and a shepherd from Washington stole the show with his grace, style," i do it my way" attitude..."HE IS NOT A BORDER COLLIE' was the cry of the weekend, LOL.
Locals, Tina Gauthier and Sheila Jackson Brown dabbled their product mix and added dog treats at our PET Hippie Market and wowed the dogs creating a great source of 'reward' for the stars in the show. Thank you to all the vendors that participated in this inaugural event...hope that next year this event grows into something bigger and better.
Thank you to Roni Bedard from the Kelowna Disc Dog Club and Fintry local Kaity Cat for bringing this new opportunity to our North Westside. Very well organized and was a strong display of positive dog /owner interaction and respect for dog ownership by all.
This one is in the books for 2023 and was 'paws'itively perfect.

2pm - 3pm Dog Expert Class (responsible dog ownership/reactive dog do’s and don’ts)**
